Louie has been involved in gymnastics for 20 years as a participant and as a
coach. Louie attended the University of Minnesota and was a member of the
Men's Gymnastics Team from 1990-1994. During that time, the team won the
Big Ten Championship in 1992.
Louie was the Assistant Coach at Eagan High School and the interim Head
Coach there before coming to Olympic Gymnastics Academy.
Louis has coached at
Olympic Gymnastics Academy for 8 years. During that time, he
trained many Level 8-10 gymnasts who became very successful national champions,
Kendra ELM (All-Around, Uneven Bars) and Kristi KOWALCHYK (Balance
Beam).
